I've been reading healthy living, fitness, and food blogs for the better part of two years. And just recently became active in the community, via commenting, e-mailing thanks, and congratulations to bloggers, and most obviously this blog. I love this community, and I have developed friendships with these bloggers (in my head), and think of them as friends. I have learned so much about food, fitness, and life, and I want to learn so much more.
I have heard of, and read about many of the different conferences that go on throughout the year, and while I have thought about what I great time all of these bloggers are having, I never really thought about going myself. That is until this year....I have pledged to myself that I will attend at least one blogging conference before October 2013 (
101 in 1,001). And
Fitbloggin' is giving away 5 tickets to Fitbloggin' 11 in Baltimore this May! This is my chance!

Fitbloggin' is a conference for fitness, wellness, and healthy living bloggers to come together and "educate, network, and make friends." I would really love to go to Fitbloggin', especially this year. They've created a
3 track structure for the conference this year. So along with the 5K run, and fitness classes, and expo on Day 1, Day 2 features 15 different sessions, falling under one of the three tracks: Lab, where you'll learn hands on skills to apply to your blog; Discussion, a group of panelists will discuss hot topics, providing insight and inspiration; and Newbie, which is specifically designed teach new bloggers the basics, and an informal format for them to ask questions.
I am most excited about networking and meeting other bloggers, and potentially making friends. But as far as sessions go I am so excited for, "Building an Online Community," "Better Blog Photography," and "Design 101." I am excited so excited to learn from so many smart, and talented
speakers, including some of my favorite bloggers; Jenn Emmert - a fellow Minnesotan (
PriorFat Girl), Kath Younger (
Kath Eats Real Food), Monica Olivas (
Run Eat Repeat), Tina Haupert (
Carrots 'N' Cake), and last but not least Matt Frazier (
No Meat Athlete)!!
I think this sounds like a blast, and I would love to go! if this is something that interests you, I suggest you click on the fancy little countdown doo-hickey up there and get to registering. Maybe (hopefully) I will see you there!
